Ritu Sethi qualified as a Solicitor in 1990 and set up The Sethi Partnership Solicitors in Eastcote in 1994. In 1998, she became Director of Sethi Solicitors Property Centre, the first practice of its kind in the area to offer the services of solicitors, estate agents and financial services under one roof in Central Harrow.
In February 1998 a third office was opened specialising in Immigration Law in Wembley.
The two new offices took off and were as successful as the original main office in Eastcote. Ritu Sethi was recognised for this by being awarded the Asian Business Woman of the Year Award in November 2000.
Ritu Sethi was nominated for Women in Business Award for Asian Achievers Award in 2003. Ritu Sethi is now mentoring Women who either want to qualify as solicitors or set up businesses. The assistance is by way of guidance, coaching and promoting more women to have the confidence to mix business and a family life.
As a very prominent lawyer in her field, In 2005 She was nominated for The Legal Personality Award , by The Society of Asian Lawyers.
She is also one of the women to be awarded the Woman of the year Award in October 2006.
In her talks to women’s network organisation, the message is always about balance, if you can be a fantastic business person and a loving mother, you can have it all.
The business success came from a drive to be an outstanding solicitor and a compassionate employer. This attracted clients to the practice, especially one being headed by a young Asian woman in 1994.
Since then, Ritu Sethi amalgamated all 3 offices at the Eastcote office.
Ritu Sethi is now able to offer her 17 years experience as a solicitor and 13 years experience as a business owner to other women in business and has become a role model for many new lawyers.
Her other interests lie in property renovating and developing and public speaking on different areas of law and life coaching.
